Brookyn Concerts

Amid all the free summertime music (Belle & Sebastian, Toshi Reagon, and the McCarren Pool rock and roll parties in just the past week, and tomorrow, Brazilian Girls), it comes as somewhat of a surprise to discover two whole other music series absent from every listing of summer music I've come across so far. And these series, get this, feature everyone from LL Cool J to Roberta Flack to (I shit you not) Liza Minelli. Al Green, the B-52s, Jill Scott, the list goes on, all free.

And where did I hear about this? On a raggy little green photocopy in my entranceway. I love Brooklyn.
