Boy George@NYU

Jason King and Karen Finley (in her new "hostess" persona, as my friend puts it) interviewed Boy George (whom Finley hilariously insisted on calling Mr. O'Dowd) for an hour and half at NYU yesterday.

Boy George was in top opinionated form, dishing Madonna's new kaballah fetish ("trying to buy God"), MTV ("videos have killed rock'n'roll"), Queer Eye (one word: "cushions"), Queer as Folk ("one-dimensional"), disco ("We were punks at the time, so we didn't listen to it"), living in New York City("Its not like London. Everywhere you go here there's a guy with his cock out. Shocking!"), David Bowie ("changed my life at 13"), downloading ("Ever notice that the bands who care the most are the wealthiest? Most people want people to hear their music!") and his new project, The Twins, ("I love making songs but hate having to sell them to anyone."
