New York isn't America

"... The gap between New York, fearless but outraged, and the rest of the country, fearful and complacent ... "


In the cruelest of ironies, the greatest city in America -- which had suffered the most grievous terrorist attack -- delivered a resounding popular victory against Bush's fearmongering and warmongering, while the wretched evangelicals amid the pastures, with nothing to defend except their anti-gay bile, voted on "terrorism" and "moral values" as their number one issues.
